Logistics Operations Platform
A real-time operations platform for managing shipments, routes, and warehouse activity across multiple locations.
The Challenge
The client was running logistics operations across spreadsheets, phone calls, and disconnected tools. Warehouse teams lacked a single view of shipments in transit, dispatchers could not react quickly to delays, and leadership had no reliable reporting without manual exports.
Our Approach
We started with discovery workshops with dispatch, warehouse, and operations leads to map real workflows—not idealized process diagrams. We scoped an MVP around the highest-friction daily tasks, then built in two-week sprints with demos after each cycle.
UX & Product Strategy
Role-based dashboards were designed first: warehouse staff see pick-and-pack queues, dispatchers see route status and exceptions, and managers see aggregate performance. Every screen was built around actions the user takes dozens of times per day.
Technical Architecture
A React frontend with a Node.js API layer, PostgreSQL for transactional data, and WebSocket updates for live shipment status. Existing warehouse software was integrated via REST APIs rather than replaced outright.
