E-Commerce Platform
A high-traffic e-commerce platform integrated with warehouse and inventory systems for a growing retail brand.
The Challenge
The retail brand's existing store struggled during peak traffic periods. Inventory counts drifted between the online storefront and warehouse systems, and checkout performance degraded when order volume spiked.
Our Approach
We audited the existing architecture, identified bottlenecks in checkout and inventory sync, and rebuilt the backend in phases—keeping the store live while migrating critical paths.
UX & Product Strategy
Checkout was reduced to the minimum steps required for conversion. Inventory sync was treated as a first-class workflow with clear error handling when warehouse systems were temporarily unavailable.
Technical Architecture
React storefront with a Node.js commerce API, background job processing for inventory sync, and integration layers for warehouse and payment systems. Caching and query optimization were applied to high-traffic catalog and checkout endpoints.
